Covid-19, Essential Service, Key Workers
Updated: May 22
Following the announcement made by Boris Johnson and the government, we are still permitted to operate. Plumbing, heating, and gas are covered as Key Workers and therefore are deemed as an essential service.
We have been repairing our customers boilers in Loughton and Woodford Green, over the outbreak of Coronavirus.
Emily in Loughton had a leaking diverter valve on her Vaillant combi boiler causing the boiler to cut out due to low pressure, when attending we found a few other leaks that needed attention.
Because of the situation from the Coronaviruse our suppliers were closed so the parts for this needed to be ordered online.
Replacing the leaking diverter valve, faulty expansion vessel and cleaned the sensors and debris from the safety valves ensured this boiler is now back up and running smoothly.
Michael in Wanstead called in Monday late afternoon as he was worried he could smell gas in one corner of his kitchen.
We had an engineer out that afternoon to test the gas meter in his basement. The test passed and we confirmed that the was no gas leak in the property.
Dave in Buckhurst Hill called in with an issue on his heating system. The radiators in his home were not heating up like they used to
We found that there was an accumulation of sludge in the heating pipework reducing the flow of water around the system.
We added a filter to the central heating and added cleaner to break down the debris in the system and boiler, flushed out the dirty water and balanced the system. The heating is now hotter than it used to be.
